| Our Earth Cannot be Replaced |
“The New Look of Energy!” The world is our environment and it needs our help to survive. We must break away from past destructive procedures. A new beginning is in order. The Trident Energy Power Plant was part of a larger project and when it was completed, we began the task of separating the two parts. When I say (we) I discovered a person who beside my wife Dee, wanted to build this complete project as much as I did. Rosario Mike Mannina, an expert on concrete became my partner. Together, we patented the larger project, which is patent number 4210304. A vastly expanded and self contained “Domed City” for optional future habitation. I am blessed with the ability to see what lies ahead for our world and the approximate time when several things would begin to happen…such as: 1.The massive pollution and changes to our climate throughout the world. 2. The industrial surge in several countries and the fast consumption of fossil fuels. 3. The procrastination of our world leaders and their inability to cope with the certain destiny that awaited our world, should their inaction become the norm. 4. Many individuals figured that nuclear power would become the great solution to our energy problem; forgetting that all nuclear material must be stored and that any contamination to our world from that material was un-reversible and that portion of our earth could no longer be used. 5. Effects of our climate; the increased melting of our snowcaps and the increased rising of our oceans. How much of our earth would no longer be habitable? I earnestly feel it is significant to acknowledge a required transformation. I could see a time, after coal was exhausted, when there would be a lack of energy and man would resort to the last fuel on our planet. Also, I saw the unnecessary depletion of our trees and green plants that give us our oxygen for life, for breathing and proliferation. Most people laughed at me and said to stop worrying, our energy supply would last forever, but I knew better. I wrote an article, which was later put on a web site. In this article after careful evaluation, I came to a conclusion that a solution had to be in place before the year 2024, which I called “The Point of No Return.” They that have oil will keep it and they that have none will have to pay extreme prices for it or do without. So what about the people with limited income? They would be left to suffer or perish. My patent attorneys recently told us that “The Trident Energy Power Plant” is known all over the world. In the United States, over 40 Senators know of this project, including the President and Vice President…and from the UK, Toney Blair replied to my letter acknowledging my information to him and said it is an interesting project. Australia also has acknowledged our offer to the world. However, presently I have contact with a representative in India for the construction of the Trident Energy Power plant there. This Concept/Design is based upon proven methods of producing low yield amounts of energy. However, the Trident Energy Power Plant has brought together all of the aspects of each into a project that uses only a small area of land to create vast amounts of energy. Yet, only with the Triple Aspects together does this become a Grand Production. TRIDENT ENERGY POWER AND ITS IMPACT ON OUR WORLD "Energy To Better Serve Mankind" Because we are up-grading our infrastructure, we will be able to produce at least 104 gigawatts of low cost electricity. Some of the impacts: Low cost electricity ......No Pollution........ Underground Transmission of Power. * Production of abundant Hydrogen for North America. * Millions of gallons of steam distilled drinking water per day. Creates a system that will take every American family off Welfare. Makes Social Security a solid supplement to our future generations. Saves American Car industry. Economical Airline Industry. Creates over 2 million American Jobs. Note: All water creating Hydrogen and Clean drinking water will be obtained from the Ocean! Gordon L. Head {Inventor/Engineer/Consultant} |
HOW THE TRIDENT POWER PLANT WORKS Welcome to the new look in energy. The Trident Power Plant utilizes three types of energy. One: Hydroelectric Two: Solar Three: Steam Induction Heating Before we get into detail on these three items, lets go to where the system begins. Our system begins with a 180,000,000 gallon reinforced concrete water reservoir tank. This water tank has very unique characteristics. The first unique characteristic is its size. It stands 150 feet high and 400 feet square. The walls are 6 feet thick reinforced concrete. The interior of this tank has a massive beam structure inside. The reason for this strength is multiple. One, being that the complete reservoir tank is solidly connected on all walls, floor and roof. The second, being there is a large condensation unit, compressor and 20 mw steam turbine generator, which is stationed on the roof. This compressor is pumping up to 650 psi. in to this tank. This tank acts just like the pressurized water tank in most homes, but in a much larger scale. The water exits from this tank with a force of up to 650 psi., turning the blades of the 500-megawatt turbine generator. To compare this concept of great force with the Hoover Dam which only supplies 312.5 psi at maximum water pressure at the base. This Dam took 325,000,000 cubic yards of concrete to create this water pressure. The Trident Pressure Tank only takes 400.569 cubic yards of concrete to create over six times more water pressure. This water pressure is a key factor in starting this system running .It is enough water pressure to create 500 megawatts of electricity. The formula for this pressure is (1 pound per square inch (psi) of pressure = 2.31 feet (head) of water) If the pressure in the tank is one thousand psi, the water would be as falling from 2,310 feet into the turbine. This electricity will be used to. supply the internal operations of this plant, one of them being our Induction Heating. (This will be explained later) After the water leaves the 500 megawatt turbine Generator, it flows through our 5' insulated concrete pipe into the solar field or has the option to bypass directly to the pump station. The solar field reduces the water pressure to 65 psi and heats the water to 212 degrees F. Each solar panel will hold 276 gallons of water. We only need to use 7.2% of the solar field for the system to flow; 30 % will be used for the hydrogen and clean drinking water plants. The remainder is available for expansion, backup and reservoir capacity. The solar field empties back into a 5' insulated concrete pipe which brings us to our pump station. The pumps bring the water pressure up to 2,000 psi. We exit again into a 5' concrete insulated pipe. Lets sum up where we are. We have created 500 megawatts of Hydroelectricity and 212 degrees of preheated water under 650 psi (using existing technology that has been proven). Now hold that thought! We now introduce the main key factor of this energy system. The Main Injection Chamber. Here are some facts when understanding the main injection chamber. The higher the temperature and pressure, the less energy is needed. Here is a quote from a good web site (http://www.narowgage.inf.comau/steam4.html) "As the pressure on the surface of the water increases, it has the effect of increasing the temperature at which the water boils. While at atmospheric pressure (101.3 Pa) water boils when it reaches the temperature of 100deg C. We find that at a pressure of, for example, 690 kpa, the boiling point has gone up to 169.95 degrees C. You will readily see that to keep the water boiling (and giving off steam) at this higher temperature it has to be supplied with a greater proportion of Sensible Heat Units. On the other hand, at the higher pressure and temperature, the quality of Latent Heat Units needed to convert the boiling water into steam is reduced. Another key factor is that after 705.47 degrees F. there is no distinction between liquid, water and steam. A good web site on this subject is (http://dbhs.wvusd.k12.ca.us/GasLaw/Gas-Boyle.html) Having a vessel to hold the temperatures and pressures necessary to be used requires our unique patented strong tank. The tank will be poured with a waterproof concrete. Now lets pick up where we left off. Remember that we have 500 Megawatts of Hydroelectric Power and 212 degrees of preheated water under 650 psi. This enters a 5' concrete pipe which leads to the main injection tank. The main injection tank has two chambers. The first chamber is heated water under pressure. The second chamber can super heat this water up to 2,000 degrees. This is done by induction heating. Induction heating is a method of providing fast, constant heat. The process relies on electrical currents within the material to produce heat. Although the basic principals of induction are well known, modern advances in solid-state technology have made induction heating a remarkable, simple, cost-effective heating method. The base components of an induction heating system are an AC power supply, induction coil and work piece (material to be heated or treated) The power supply sends alternating current through the coil, generating a magnetic field. When the work piece is placed in the coil and enters the magnetic field, eddy currents are induced within the work piece, generating precise amounts of clean, localized heat without any physical contact between the coil and the work piece. Heat is developed directly and instantly to (2,000 degrees F. in >5 seconds» inside the work piece. Induction heating is a clean, non-polluting process. It produces no harmful emissions, exhaust gases; smoke, loud noise or wastes heat to alter the surrounding environment The main injector chamber produces steam up to 2,000 degrees F. and up to 2,000 psi. This super heated and pressurized gas (for now call it a gas) exits through a 3' pipe into a 1,300 megawatt turbine generator which is inside a concrete building. After the 1,300 megawatt turbine generator, there is a 30% to 48% loss in energy. At this point, still using a 3' pipe we enter the sub injection chamber. The sub injection chamber act like the main injection chamber, but in a smaller way. The loss in energy from going through the first 1,300 turbine needs to be replaced. This is done by sending it through the first side of the sub injection tank using a metallic funnel system, channeling it to the second chamber where the induction heating system brings it back up to 2,000 degrees and 2,000 psi. The induction heating on the injection tanks are done by using injection rods. They are placed at the bottom of the main injection tank and placed vertically in the sub injection tanks. The 500 megawatt hydroelectric turbine generator supplies the electricity for the induction coils by first sending the electric to an electrical distribution building. The first heat introduced to the injection rods come from Parabolic Dishes. Parabolic dishes track the sun along two axes, which concentrate the energy at the focal point. The dishes can concentrate rays quite intensely and can reach temperatures in excess of 1,500 degrees C. The parabolic dishes we will be using will be 50' in diameter and use liquid metal, which heats up and converts to a vapor. This dish can reach temperatures of up to 2,000 degrees F. After the parabolic dish delivers the first influx of heat, it is sent into the main injection chamber using a 4" outside special steel pipe(already on the market). It than makes a complete return, sending it outside the tank into a concrete vault. It than makes a complete return again, but on this return, the pipe is reduced to a 1" inside diameter. This is where the induction heating takes place. Reheating it back up to 2,000 degrees F. and the pipe will take it back into the tank. The pipe then increases back to a 4" outside diameter. It completes this process five times before returning back to the parabolic dish for another solar injection and movement of the gas. Every parabolic dish is assigned to five injection rods utilizing the sun to its great potential. There is an induction coil on every rod. Once again, the energy, for the induction coils come from the 500- megawatt turbine generator turned by the massive reservoir tank. After we go through all 1,300 megawatt turbine generators and sub injectors, we return to the main reservoir tank. This is a closed system, so in order to return to the top of the main reservoir tank, the super heat and pressure needs to convert back to water. However, before the high pressure steam enters the condensation tubes, it must first pass through a 20 mw steam turbine generator. The purpose behind this is; to slow down the pressure, second is to bring down the temperature and last to produce more low cost electricity to operate the facility. A large condensation unit does this on the top of the main reservoir tank. The condensation unit utilizes nine 12" nitrogen cooled pipes. Using 6 chillers also mounted on the roof cools these pipes. By the time these nine pipes complete their loops, they are completely full of water. Imagine nine 12" pipes gushing with tremendous water pressure. The pipes enter into a 15' x 10' stainless steel tube. This tube goes down to within 15' of the bottom of the tank and has a 2,500 psi valve at the bottom of the tube acting as a check valve. As the tube fills up to a certain level it then is released into the reservoir tank, regulated by the pressure valve. The water returning to the main reservoir tank is still at a hot temperature of 200 degrees F. Before the high-pressure steam reaches the condensation unit, there is a condensation return line for steam that may condensate up to that point. This line leads back to the pump station so it can repeat its process starting with the main injection tank. The system can flow from 250 to 500 gallons per second. After the water returns to the main reservoir tank, we have completed our process in our hydro, solar and steam induction energy system. Take a look at our infrastructure, you will find it interesting. The main heart and sole of the system is the control room. Our control room will be using new technology and new computer software. The control room is located in the center of the plant. Our tunnel system services the entire plant. Starting from the maintenance building, these tunnels go to the hydroelectric turbine buildings. You can actually drive right up inside these buildings with an electrical maintenance truck. From the 500megawatt turbine generator buildings, you can drive to the control room and park the vehicle and monitor the system. While monitoring the system, you can send someone to do maintenance on something in the control room, the solar field, any of the generator buildings, injection tanks, electrical distribution houses for the induction coils, all of the 1,300 megawatt turbine generator buildings and the pump station. On page ( ) is a picture of what a service tunnel looks like for maintenance, service monitoring and accessibility. Our tunnels will be bigger and very complex. They will have elevators leading down to the bottom of the main injection tank. The main injection tank has tunnels surrounding three sides of it. These service tunnels are for a vault which is built with our insulated concrete to retain heat from the injection rods. Looking at page ( ), you will see a close up. Look at the returns on the injection rods. These returns connect at the wall using a titanium plate and special gaskets. They connect in these areas for easy replacement. The rods returning to the dish climb straight up to ground level and then continue along on ground level still enclosed inside the concrete vault all the way to the dish. These service tunnels will have multiple elevators located in strategic places. Certain areas of the tunnels wiD have large rooms supplying spare parts, tools, emergency equipment, maintenance offices, cafeteria, and vending accommodations., There will be manual emergency escape routs located in numerous areas. These tunnels will not only serve as great monitoring capabilities and maintenance accessibility, it will also protect the internal operations of this plant. Looking over the whole project from a top view (seen on page (1), you will see an area of approximately 2,500' x 850' or more. This entire area will be paved in concrete except for a few small areas of grass, trees, park benches or landscaping as to what the climate will accommodate. Large semi trucks and cranes will have access to all buildings. The 1,300 megawatt turbine generator buildings will have their own overhead crane systems capable of lifting the turbines and generators off semi trailers and placing them in the buildings or putting them on semi trailers for major repair. The entire solar field will have a concrete slab with pre cast footings on top to support the solar panels. A decorative concrete fence will surround the entire solar field. Another unique characteristic about the solar field is that the solar panels move up, down, and tilt on 4" hydraulic extensions. This is to track the sun from east to west. Only because the sun rises and sets in such sharp angles. The parabolic dishes will be located outside the 2,500' x 850' area. Parking and other necessary operations like the transmission lines and substations will be located outside this area. |
